Many Hands Make Light Work

photo and story by Kari Hendrich

Hey folks,

We have a new play-field/green-space at the RV Park above Outside Beach. Please come help us finish it off with grass seed.  If you have a hard rake please bring it, though soft rakes might be useful to finish raking the seed.  Work gloves are recommended.

We’ll try to clear the rocks as best we can and then proceed with hand spreaders to fertilize and spread grass seed mixed by Alaska Mill and Feed.   So far, only two hand spreaders have been located here in town so if you happen to have a spreader, please bring that too!   We’ll start at 10:00 a.m., Saturday the 22nd.  Please stop by anytime to check out the new green space, even if you can’t participate with rake in hand.

Please call if you have any questions (Kari Hendrich 350-5750) and thanks in advance for supporting our community S.H.A.R.E. project!

Also, please join us afterwards, as we will all meet up at the Sea Otter Community Center for the Ice Cream Social and Open House at 4pm!
